Early Life Struggles
Hassan started his first job in a library when he was only 13. Then he served burgers at 14. In an interview, he said that my mother instilled in my mind and taught us not to feel ashamed to work and should comfortable while working, it is a good thing in life, and failure is not an option. Shaheryar spent his early life abroad. He came to Pakistan when he was 16. In Pakistan too, he had to do a lot of labor. He worked in Pace as a check out boy. He worked as a painter also and raise bricks at construction sites.
He suffered an accident in Pakistan, which resulted in his loss of sight. He was only 17 years old at that time. He went through sixteen surgeries to recover his eye-sight. And all of this took about a year. After recovering, he decided to study fashion. At a point in the interview, when the host asked about the reason to study fashion designing, he answered, “ I told my mother that I should live my life by doing things that I like to do. Designing for me is not just about making clothes, but it is a beauty to me, I want to see beautiful things, I want to make things that make other people feel beautiful. I want to see myself around colors. I want to create things with patterns that are already not in my mind. For me, the design is my communication. I communicate through patterns.”
Education
Yasin was the salutatorian of the Pakistan School Of Fashion Design of the batch of 2000. He is auxiliary with La Chambre Syndicale De La Couture Parisienne in France. Moreover, he also holds an honors degree in couture. Hassan is also serving as a board of directors of the Pakistan School of Fashion Design and a member of the executive committee. HSY is one of the founding members of the Pakistan Fashion Design Council (PFDC).
Early Career
Hassan Sheheryar Yasin started his career as a fashion choreographer. It was 1994. Yasin worked so hard that he became known worldwide. His fashion shows held in Dubai, London, New York, and Toronto, where Yasin worked as a choreographer as well as designer. All these shows were very successful. He showed so much good work with amazing pieces of master art that the world started to appreciate him. His talented work, through unusual patterns of art, is mesmerizing the world. HSY is now the king of the Pakistani fashion industry.
Hassan Sheherar Yasin also hosted a chat show “Tonite with HSY.” It is a season based talk show, and its five seasons are aired on various TV channels. This show was started in 2014.
HSY Brand
Hassan Sheheryar launched his brand called HSY in 2000. In the beginning, he started it as bridal wear and formal wear couture house in Lahore. Now, brands have six outlets all around, three in Lahore and Three in Karachi. HSY showcases its new collection, including all seasonal clothes and lawn collection in different exhibition centers and stores. They showcase new bridal collection and design at Bridal Couture Weeks. Though the brand is famous for its bridal collection, they have also displayed Coat, Pants, Sherwani, and other men wear. Recently, HSY has introduced its jewelry designs in the market.
Family and Wedding
Hassan Sheheryar Yasin was born on 26 October 1974 in a political family in Lahore, Pakistan. He has only one sister. Her name is Afshaan Samee, and she is elder to him. His parents separated when Hassan was only two years old. Hassan has to move to Dubai with his mother. Then they went to the USA. There, he completed early schooling in New York. He faced many difficulties in his life, even though he had to separate from his sister. Her elder sister Afshaan grew up in London. Hassan describes it in an interview in very touchy words, and he said, “You face many difficulties in the time of trouble. It is not just about money but separation from your loved ones and the things you have no control over.”
Hassan Sheheryar is not wedded yet and searching for a partner.
Friends
Hassan is an outgoing person and likes to talk with people. He said that his sister is a best friend to him all over life, and she was always a pillar to him. But he managed to make new friends when Hassan came back. Designer Kamir Rokni, Kiran (daughter of Tahira Syed) Taimoor and Mheen are those persons in his life who are always stayed with him no matter what it is, and they shared many lively moments.

HSY brand has received multiple Designer of the Year awards. These include the Lux Style Award, Ahlan Fashion, and Lifestyle award, Style Guru of the Year by Indus Style Awards, the Most Stylish Fashion Icon at the MTV Style Awards.
