Fashion Pakistan week is a fashion event that is annually held in Karachi, Pakistan. Top designers from all over the country participate in the event. Fashion Pakistan Council, an organization, based in Karachi, arranges the event every year. It was first launched in the year 2009 in Marriot International Hotel Karachi. Last year, on 28th, 29th, and 30th November, the event was held in Karachi. The channel Urdu was the main media partner and sponsor of the event. As a matter of fact, fashion Pakistan week plays a vital role in promoting and setting latest fashion trends in the fashion industry of Pakistan. The event provides a platform for the top quality designers to present their latest collection. Apart from that, it is also a good platform for the emerging talent in the Pakistan fashion industry.
The dresses and designs in Fashion Pakistan week mainly focus the winter season. In fact, we can observe various activities like marriage ceremonies and New Year functions during the winter months. During the event, dresses were presented in a broad range of the casual wear too heavily embroidered bridal wear. CKO Events Architecture managed the event and the backstage was managed by Production 021. Saba Ansari and Samiya Ansari served as the main stylists for the models of the event. These ladies belong to the great saloon ‘Sabs’. Frieha Altaf of Catwalk Event Management and Productions organized the choreography and direction of fashion Pakistan week.
This year, attires for all the functions such as weddings, parties and balls were showcased. Simply speaking, the whole event was just awesome and fabulous. Let me tell you a little bit about the attires and the designers who presented their collection at the event.
Shehla Chatoor’s ‘All the Raj bridal couture collection.’
Shehla Chatoor presented her collection under the title of ‘All the Raj bridal couture collection’. She was celebrating her twenty years success in the fashion industry. Her collection included colorful and embroidered regal, royal and nostalgically vintage. Apart from that, she also presented mesmerizing handmade jewelry, clutches, and other similar fashion accessories. For Shehla Chatoor Collection, the renowned model actress, and singer Ayesha Omar was the showstopper. She wore a teal and gold lehnga choli for the event.
Ayesha Farooq Hashwani’s Ellada collection
In fashion Pakistan week, Ayesha Farooq Hashwani presented her charismatic collection under the title of Ellada collection. The entire collection was inspired by Greece ancient and traditional themes.
Tena Durrani’ Omorose Collection
Tena Durrani presented her collection under the title of Omorose collection. Her collection was a mixture of old and new fashion styles and designs. He used vibrant colors such as red, green, blue on a sophisticated fabric of velvet. In addition to that, pearls and gems were skillfully used in the embroidery. These attires were highly admired by the audience.
Malik’s collection was inspired by Alexander Pope’s neo-classical romantic poetry. Mehreen Syed was the showstopper for Malik’s collection. She wore a beautiful and gorgeous bridal gown. The bridal gown was a true blend of eastern and western trends. He is now considered as an emerging talent in the arena of Pakistan fashion industry.
At the end of the night, a stunning collection of Sana Safinaz was showcased. It was full of colorful apparels. There is no doubt that the designs of Sana Safinaz were just awesome and astonishing. Thread and Beadwork were the primary focus for all the dresses of the collection. She also used the Russian culture as a source of inspiration, and it was quite evident from her collection.
All in all, fashion Pakistan week is now becoming a trend setter for Pakistan fashion industry.
